QR Codes, MadLips, and Magic in the Music Room
QR Codes, MadLips, and Magic in the Music Room As you can see from my previous posts, I’ve been busy creating brief Composer bios using the app, MadLips. It’s been too much fun! Here’s how I have been using technology:Â QR Codes, MadLips, and Magic in the Music Room I created the MadLips movies for each composer and uploaded them to my DropBox I decided which musical piece we would be studying for each composer and uploaded that mp3 to the DropBox So that it wouldn’t get confusing, I created a separate folder in the PUBLIC folder and stored all items related to this project in that one folder. I created QR code links to the MadLips movie AND the musical piece we are studying I inserted them into the Word document with a header, Â and ta-dah! activity resources created! MadLips App Unfortunately, this app is no longer available in the US Each Madlips movie probably averaged about 15 minutes to make. I had to decide on what to say, say it without laughing or pausing, etc. Get my lips to line up correctly, etc. It did get much easier with practice. It amazes me how each madlips movie brings magic in the music room. Download the QR Code posters Here is the work in progress! I’ve created posters for each composer/ musical work, and have laminated them. I’ve placed them all around the music room, but I also have these pages on my SMARTBoard so that I can control what is being scanned. If you are interested in using these QR links, please download at the bottom of this post … I love to share! In the next post, I’ll tell you AND show you the magic learning that happened with technology in my music classroom this week! For now, I’ve got to get some sleep!
