“Musette In D” for Boomwhackers

Musette in D has been transposed to C and arranged for Boomwhackers. A simple lesson comparing terraced farming to terraced dynamics is included. To answer the “Why” of terraced dynamics, a study of the raven’s quill, the jack, and plectrum of the harpsichord, and the hammer action of the pianoforte is explored. Sound files are also attached for comparison. The evolution of dynamic markings from Bach to present day is illustrated.Download this SMART Notebook lesson here.
