Rossini’s “William Tell Overture” SMARTBoard Lesson

An interactive listening guide makes this lesson fun and interesting.
This Notebook lesson gives historical background about William Tell and how the legend inspired Rossini to write a very cool overture/ opera.

Students will learn about Rossini’s funny operas, costumes, “The Barber of Seville” and more. There are video examples of  how the overture has been used in “Bugs Bunny,” “Disney,” “Lone Ranger,” “Helix” shows. There is a listening map and a SMARTLab game show review at the end.
